On site in 2020 – Part 2

Absolute Project Management

Just before lock-down started, we shared behind the scenes photos from some of the projects we had live on site. Work on sites has continued through lock-down but inevitably progress significantly slowed down on most jobs due to supplier closures and the need to adopt different working practices on site. We are delighted that most of these projects are now finished (and in the ‘snagging’ phase), and the others are progressing well.

We’ll be sharing gorgeous finished photos soon, but for now here’s another look behind the scenes:

St John’s Wood Mansion Block

A new layout and gorgeous new finishes, clever joinery and stylish lighting has transformed this bright but compact flat:

In progress renovation with parquet floor and grey walls

The new double-glazed windows improve heat & sound management (and look great)

In progress renovation showing bespoke wardrobe and parquet floor, with brass details

Brass details throughout include wall lights, cabinet handles and floor trim

boxes piled on parquet floor in front of dark green and grey kitchen

Behind the boxes you can see a hint of the sleek kitchen and beautiful tiled backsplash…

Wapping Riverside Flat

A high end refurbishment of a listed wharf building on the Thames, including installation of secondary glazing, bespoke joinery throughout and remedying the damp problems that unfortunately can come hand in hand with the stunning riverside location!

Staircase with new carpeting, leading up to landing with joinery with integrated lighting

Freshly carpeted stairs, joinery with integrated lighting and a beautiful new banister

Wooden joinery in a bedroom with patterned wood grain, and sockets

Clever joinery makes use of every (not right-angled) corner. We love this woodgrain.

Renovation building site with tools and wooden beams

A fluted glass internal window increases light throughout.

Camden Townhouse

A multi-stage project, this family home is being thoroughly renovated with work including structural repairs, improved plumbing and drainage and installation of air conditioning. Room-by-room redecoration is now well underway;

Bathroom renovation in progress with black and white floor tiles and marble effect wall tiles

Striking monochrome and marble tiling in the bathroom

Light green nursery with ceiling rose, ladder and flood light

Lovely green paintwork and moulding details in the nursery

Two Flats in a Bauhaus Building

This listed Bauhaus hospital building was converted in the late 90’s into generously sized but awkwardly laid out flats. This renovation includes moving the boundary wall between two of these flats and re-opening old doorways to improve the use of space. The result is two stunning flats with beautiful finishing touches and attention to detail throughout:

Olive green velvet curtains and cream sheer curtains cover a large window, next to a parquet wooden floor

Sumptuous velvet & sheer curtains and the lovely wooden parquet floor

Bathroom with black and white tiles and brass fittings

The brushed brass fittings work beautifully with the monochrome tiles in this ensuite…

bathroom with pink tiles and brushed brass fittings

… and in this pink one!

Islington Canal Flat

A thorough redecoration inside & out of a rental property, including a new roof, exterior repairs and redecoration, kitchen and bathrooms.

Decorator standing on scaffolding tower while painting the outside of a flat in London

Exterior painting in progress.

Corner of a kitchen in the process of being tiled, with marble-effect worktop and grey cabinets

The kitchen coming together – with the newly installed worktop and gorgeous frosted glass tiles.

Shelves being built next to chimney breast with cornice details.

The mouldings in this space will really shine when the new joinery & decoration is complete…
