Exciting changes at Absolute Project Management

Updated: Aug 14, 2024

We are delighted to announce that our Design Director, Liz Bell, will become CEO of APM with Cat continuing to advise the business as Chair.  Liz retains invaluable management support from Jo Sampson.

Cat set up APM in 2007 having identified a need for homeowners to turn to an experienced professional to advise on how to plan, design, organise and oversee renovations. She worked alone and part time from a cluttered desk (shared with her husband’s cycling accessories), steadily growing the business by expanding the client base, setting up detailed PM processes and building a team of talented and passionate designers and PMs.

  1. We’re now a team of 6, working closely with expert freelancers, consultants and suppliers

  2. We have a strong reputation across the industry and with homeowners.

  3. We now have offices in London and Brighton which are run along the principles we promote to our clients – beautiful, liveable spaces designed on biophilic lines.

  4. We have a fantastic, evolving and expanding network of supplies, specialists, advisers and collaborators in most areas of residential interior design renovation.

  5. We were a Founding Member of Interior Design Declares the industry pledge to improve sustainable practices in the industry.

  6. We are a British Institute of Interior Design Registered® (BIID) practice and active participants in the BIID and other industry steering groups.

Liz joined APM in 2014 and used her degree in Architecture from Kingston University, to further develop our Interior design service- ensuring clients visions for their home are expertly developed into clear functional designs and efficiently executed on site. Liz became a Registered Interior Designer® in 2019 and is now a Council Director of the British Institute for Interior Design and chairs the Sustainability Committee.

Jo joined APM in 2018 having retrained in interior design at University of the Arts London following a successful first career in digital media and business operations. Jo’s meticulous attention to detail and Excel savvy lead to the development of our ‘Absolute Spreadsheet’- used to capture and record all aspects of a project into one place for clear and efficient use.

We’re privileged to have Leah, Zoe, Anu and Hatice as valued and dynamic team members:

Leah joined us in 2019 after studying Interior Design in Sydney, following a successful career in Science. As an established Interior Designer Leah has lead a number of large projects bringing a strong sense of calm to the team, while also managing multiple projects on site and creating homes our clients are thrilled to move back into.

Zoe joined us as an Interior Design graduate from Arts University Plymouth, where she has since delivered a presentation and lecture on her professional experience. With a passion for sustainability Zoe also works with Cat as part of the steering group for Interior Design Declares. This works alongside Zoe’s passion for all things textiles & fabrics- keeping the team up to date with all eco options available.

Anu has a fashion & textiles background with a BA in Interior Architecture & Design. She has assisted in a wide range of projects from concept to completion. Since setting out in her career she has been sought out for feature in an industry spotlight and delivered a hugely successful talk to students on her passion and experience.

Hatice is a recent graduate in interior architecture, who joined us full time after interning with APM during her studies. Driven by her passion for design and diligent project management skill- she has enjoyed participating in all project phases, assisting APM in industry, client and business meetings and overseeing many aspects of our marketing strategy and implementation.

Dina is our Office Manager, providing invaluable support and diligent book-keeping, enabling the team to focus on delivering great work for clients.

Whilst APM continues to create and deliver high end home renovation projects- Cat will be taking up a role on the BIID’s Professional Standards Panel and studying Sustainability in Real Estate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
