5 Bedroom Semi-detached House
We’ve worked with this client for years (both at her previous home and in her current home) – we were delighted to get her call to help ‘transition’ various areas to reflect the changing use of the house, and in particular the different requirements of older children.
In the formal lounge had previously been a comfortable, ‘clubby’ space and we were asked to make this both more glamorous and more welcoming, while retaining some of the existing furniture and accessories. We selected elegant sofas, ottomans, chairs and stools to complement the stunning high ceilings and original mouldings, with accessories to complement the artwork. We designed and had constructed a bespoke new bar space and brought in an opulent drinks trolley. This is now a stunning room for entertaining.
The client’s teenage daughter had some lovely furnishings in a very sweet bedroom but wanted to create a more personal and grown-up feel. We chose a palette of greys for a calm bedroom/ study space and as a perfect backdrop for the client’s existing red ‘Egg’ chair and striking artwork. We designed a bespoke corner desk with loads of storage to optimise opportunities for study… Jewel-like blinds add the finishing touch.
The playroom wasn’t really needed as such any longer, so we transformed this into a multi-use library – to be used for studying, reading and still, sometimes, for playing… We chose new lighting & furniture to create a cohesive feel with the client’s existing furnishings – and created a lovely light work space.
We also helped the client re-style and ‘dress’ several other rooms as well as advising on the management of more general renovation works – roofing, improvements to electrics, plumbing and decoration.
