We’d worked with Katie on a previous project and were delighted when she asked us to help add an additional storey to her new flat. Katie engaged us to design and manage an extensive renovation of the existing 1 bedroom flat and to build a new floor on the current under-used roof terrace of her property.
The 1st floor of the property was originally made up of a main bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan living room and kitchen. By moving the existing stairway which led up to the large roof terrace, we were able to reconfigure the layout of this floor, now holding 3 good sized bedrooms, a main bathroom and an additional ensuite bathroom. The kitchen and living space were moved to the new floor, which has panoramic views across London. We used bi-folding doors on both sides of the property to make the most of the amazing location.
